The United States of America is being the top country by exports in the world. As of 2015, exports in the United States of America was 2,008,557 million volume, at constant 2005 prices - US dollars that accounts for 10.50 % of the world's exports. The top 5 countries (others are China, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom) account for 36.80 % of it. The world's total exports was estimated at 19,122,575 million volume, at constant 2005 prices - US dollars in 2015.

Exports of goods and services consist of sales, barter, or gifts or grants, of goods and services from residents to non-residents. The treatment of exports and imports in the SNA is generally identical with that in the balance of payments accounts as described in the Balance of Payments Manual.
