Gas - Dry Natural Gas Consumption

(Billion Cubic Feet)

The United States of America is being the top country by dry natural gas consumption in the world. As of 2014, dry natural gas consumption in the United States of America was 25,890 billion cubic feet that accounts for 21.16 % of the world's dry natural gas consumption. The top 5 countries (others are Russian Federation, Iran, Qatar, and Canada) account for 52.54 % of it. The world's total dry natural gas consumption was estimated at 122,336.3 billion cubic feet in 2014.

Dry Natural gas is the gas which remains after: 1) the liquefiable hydrocarbon portion has been removed from the gas stream (i.e., gas after lease, field, and/or plant separation); and 2) any volumes of nonhydrocarbon gases have been removed where they occur in sufficient quantity to render the gas unmarketable. Dry natural gas is also known as consumer-grade natural gas.
