As of 2015, adults living with HIV in South Africa was 6.7 million persons that accounts for 22.35 % of the world's adults living with HIV. The top 5 countries (others are Nigeria, India, Kenya, and Uganda) account for 49.04 % of it. The world's total adults living with HIV was estimated at 30 million persons in 2015.
